With Oculus Soon Requiring Anti-Social Network Facebook Log-Ins, VR Pioneer Warns Consumers: "Use Anything Else"

From October 2020, Facebook will require anyone using an Oculus device for the first time to log in via a Facebook account. It will no longer be possible to sign-up with a separate Oculus ID.

This is why so many of us remain concerned with Facebook’s greedy privacy policies coupled with their R&D aspirations (eye tracking, mind reading, etc…).
"But what’s the harm,” you ask, "if Facebook can get you even more relevant AR/VR ads and keep your hardware costs low?"

The harm is that you will not even know when you’re being manipulated — using your own secrets: your feelings, reactions fears and passions, as recorded by these devices and stored forever — into thinking, buying, voting for whatever will make the most money for Facebook.

After this, there is no anonymity. But you can say no, as well, by opting out of the entire Facebook ecosystem.
