This video compares the look and feel of the menus, options, FPS (on Linux with Wine), and variety of cars/tracks for the three racing simulators. They all do different things better and worse so 'it depends' as usual what your own choice would be.
Some live for the sheer driving realism feeling, others for the variety of cars or tracks, and yet others for the photo-realism. I only touched lightly on taking "photos" in the video, but Assetto Corsa does have a photo mode complete with HDR and filters.
I'm only starting out myself so there are no detailed technical specs nor opinions yet live online racing and how good the AI racing is.
Why only these three racing sims? Well I bought these three and will not go into monthly subscriptions for iRacing. Watch out though for Project Cars 3 which is being released soon - looks like photo-realism may go to new heights but the real question is 'how real is the racing'?
