Try out GeForce NOW Beta cloud gaming for free

Nvidia has a beta program on the go that anyone can join for free to try out cloud-based gaming. Essentially you get a high-end virtual computer in their cloud on which you install your games. The theory being here you could have a Macbook Air (yes they list them as compatible) as your end-user device and be playing Windows only games in the cloud. GeForce NOW is currently in beta for Mac, PC and SHIELD. It is currently available in North America and Europe.

Requirements though for it to be workable right now are:
- GeForce NOW requires at least 15 Mbps for 720p at 60fps and 25 Mbps for 1080p at 60fps.
- You’ll need to use a hardwired Ethernet connection or 5GHz wireless router.

With over 225 supported top games, like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite, and more from Steam, Uplay, and other popular digital stores, you can play your favorite PC games on nearly any device anywhere you go. Select games from your personal PC game library or purchase new ones, with new games being added all the time. Your favorite titles load faster and stay up-to-date with the latest patches when you stream from the GeForce NOW cloud service.

What's not clear is how the client device actually connects to the cloud side eg. browser or an installable app?
