New Signature Lux Hotel, by Onomo, Waterfront in Cape Town - Disruptive Hotel Tech at an Affordable Price
I heard about this hotel on the morning breakfast show on +CapeTalk and was pretty impressed to hear this hotel offers high-speed uncapped WiFi (not the often capped Wifi that others offer), supposedly you can check in from your mobile phone before you arrive and your phone would then act as the room key, apparently you are encouraged to stream video and entertainment from your phone to the room TV, and the price is incredibly cheap starting at around R995 per night whilst still being walking distance from the V&A Waterfront (500m).
The really odd thing is that upon checking their website I don't find any mention of the mobile phone functionality (so maybe one wants to check these details out). The website just has an icon saying "Integrated App" and even the sales brochure gives no detail. I just really think their marketing could have promoted their "niches" a bit better.
This is a brand new hotel I see and opens in September 2018.
