Narendra Modi becomes most followed politician in Asia with 37 million followers
Narendra Modi is killing it on Twitter. Not only does the Indian prime minister have 37.5 million followers, he's also the most tweeted about world leader in the world — after Trump of course.
The Prime Minister tweets almost every other day, and he's not afraid of sending out numerous tweets on the same day. On Dec. 1 for example, he sent out a grand total of eight tweets. And of course, it doesn't hurt that 300 million people in India have smartphones, making it a larger smartphone market than the U.S.
Modi's also got a healthy following on Facebook, with some 42 million followers. He's also pretty active on the social networking site, where he posts pictures, participates in Facebook Lives and even makes attempts at humour.
