Finally received my new Toyota Yaris Hybrid after a 5 month wait Yes I ordered one in South Africa in April 2016 and it only arrived this week. I even tried to buy a Nissan Leaf EV but those are not available in Cape Town and cannot be serviced here. This is an upgrade from my previous Yaris Hybrid so still the same engine but the face lift includes tweaks to the external styling, seats, front fog lamps, keyless starting, and a new media system. The media system has a slightly more 3D look to the graphics, a reverse camera, and the addition of SMS and e-mail functionality from your phone. They have also added a button to disable the traction control (apparently for when you need to rock the vehicle to free it from getting stuck in mud or dirt). The only real pity is that the MirrorLink technology does not seem to be active in South African cars (supported apps on the phone display to the car's media screen) and the e-mail functionality is not working with my phone (apparently does work for other people so I need to sort this out).
