No more free TV from Hulu, but Yahoo View is here to help Hulu will be ending its free, ad-supported service and go to an entirely subscription model. Hulu's move toward a premium service has been slow and steady, with the company slowly amassing a respectable amount of exclusive rights as well as developing original series. Hulu's free service will go offline in the next few weeks. Going to an entirely paid model puts Hulu directly in line with Netflix and HBO. In its place, Yahoo is picking up the slack with Yahoo View, a new online TV platform that will be free to watch (as long as you can handle the ads) and feature the last five episodes of shows from ABC, NBC, FOX and other network sitcoms. Those episodes will be up eight days after first airing. http://view.yahoo.com is immediately available in the U.S. today. Mobile web and mobile apps will be coming soon. Pity the website uses Flash though.... See http://ift.tt/2aGdbWd
