Craft Computing shows in this video how most Windows games are playing pretty well on Linux, by booting into SteamOS (not using the Steam Deck controller). There are still some workarounds needed for some games, but then once I have a game setup I play it for hundreds of hours over a year or more, so it is not something you have to keep doing.
