Interesting idea to scan for mobile devices searching for WiFi or Bluetooth connections — like smartphones — using wireless network detecting software Kismet. This would help identify any WiFi or Bluetooth devices that stay within range while you are moving. It involves nothing expensive or difficult to obtain.

Yes, it may now mean that agents/hijackers/spies etc will have to disable their WiFi and Bluetooth on their devices (including vehicle), but yes if tyre pressure sensors are also scanned, well then maybe they’ll have to follow on a pedal bicycle instead…
