Koodo is an All-in-one Open Source eBook Reader App, with private cloud sync, for Windows, macOS and Linux
It is a cross-platform app you can download on Linux, Windows, and macOS. You can even use it in a web browser.
The user interface looks modern, probably because it is an Electron app. You’ll have to import the books and add them to Koodo. It doesn’t import books by folders. You can select multiple files for import, though. Got too many books? Add some to your favourites for quick access.
It supports Epub, PDF, Kindle, Mobipocket, plain text, Comic book, and more formats, and can sync via OneDrive, iCloud, Dropbox, NextCloud, etc. You can add bookmarks, notes, highlights to your books, text-to-speech, translation over 25 languages.
They are apparently working still on an Android app, as obviously being on mobile platforms will be hitting a sweet spot for readers.
