Thunderbird version 91.0 is now available as a direct download but not yet as an upgrade from Thunderbird version 78 or earlier
Whether you use Thunderbird as your primary mail app, or as a backup for a web based mail service, it has some great built-in features and is also very extendible through 3rd party add-ons.
Some new changes:
* Native support for macOS devices built with Apple Silicon CPUs
* Thunderbird now operates in multi-process (e10s) mode by default
* Encrypt mail to BCC recipients (with warning that it will expose the recipients in the list of keys)
* CardDAV address book support
* OpenPGP: Added config option to disable encrypting saved drafts
