Many OEMs (like Nissan) don't play nice with backward compatibility for older EVs but luckily 3rd party EV battery specialists are filling the gap to allow new capacity packs to be fitted in
It's great to see what EVs Enhanced from New Zealand are doing to allow old Nissan Leafs to receive brand new higher capacity battery pack replacements, which can be fitted within an hour without any structural modifications of the vehicle. I feel like saying "Shame on you Nissan" but maybe they are just trying to promote 3rd party businesses?
If money needs to be spent after 10 years to replace a 24 kWh battery pack, it is nice to get a 40 kWh or larger pack installed instead.
