This is probably not a simple job to build as you do need some 3D printed parts, but it's very true that firstly a 180-degree wheel gives little control, and secondly that good 900-degree wheels with their force-feedback and 30 buttons quickly start to get very expensive.
So this project is actually a big jump forward to achieve the essential degrees of rotation required for a better game experience. Yes no force-feedback, but I'd be interested to see if that could be iteratively added to the same project over time.
