Chargie - No need for rooted apps, this USB dongle will limit charging via hardware to any settings you send it

I use the Battery Charge Limiter app on my Pixel to achieve this but for that you need a rooted phone. With Chargie you get more options and it will work with any Android smartphone using its app and the Bluetooth connectivity to control the hardware dongle.

The advantage of charging only to 80% or 85% is said to prolong the battery life quite considerably. This app will even monitor temperature and throttle the charging to prevent overheating.
