Changli - The world's cheapest electric 'car' on Alibaba for $1200 - has some features but not too practical at 30km/h speed

Yep 30km/h fully loaded with a range between 40-100km is not too practical unless you only drive to work and back in peak hour traffic. The quality is not great but it does have metal panels, a radio, a colour reverse camera, a rear diff, and suspension that is better than golf carts costing four times more. It seems to use standard 12V batteries in series too so there is little worry about how to change the batteries one day.

Actually given all that (and the price) it really wants an upgrade kit of sorts to maybe boost it to 60km/h and give it an easy 100+ km range. It's not going to flood any Western market in a hurry but I suspect in highly congested cities with a short driving range it may find a niche (or else you ride a bicycle instead?). Maybe it's fairer to compare it to an electric bicycle with a roof...
