How to use your Android phone as a whiteboard or webcam to a recording or a live stream (YouTube Live, Zoom etc) with free OBS Studio
A very good video showing exactly how to setup your Android phone (probably iOS if you have apps to output in a similar manner) as an input device for a whiteboard, to demo an application, or even act as a webcam if you don't have one. One of Derek's previous videos explains how to output OBS Studio directly into Zoom or similar video conferencing.
This is the type of functionality many people may require with working from home and it can be done with what you already have and not costing anything extra.
OBS Studio has the advantage of being able to resize, crop, tweak sound levels for different sources, replace backgrounds, and much more. Many gamers already use it for their live streaming to Twitch.
It's time the rest of us who are stuck in a 2IR world embrace a bit of 3IR to work remotely. I'm certainly enjoying learning more about OBS Studio from Derek in these videos. OBS Studio is free and open source software of a professional quality that works across Linux, Windows and MacOS.
