The Rise and Fall of Visual Basic - After 28 years, are we are finally seeing the beginning of the end for one of the world’s most popular languages?

Back in the day (the 1980's that is) I was very busy with QuickBASIC and Visual Basic. But I did not fully embrace Visual Basic as I had migrated to database driven languages then like Clipper and Clarion. But these Basic languages gave me my first real taste of what programming was like and what you could do with it.

Interesting to read that there is a QB64 that will run on Windows, MacOS and Linux today with no emulator required.
