What to Do When Your Allergy Meds Stop Working - Happens to me a few times a year and worth noting air pollution also now plays a role

I used to be a guinea pig for my doctor when I was younger and went through every known new type of anti-allergy remedy including asthma nasal sprays. Back then some were pretty potent and would basically knock me out. But the linked article below does give some pretty sensible and solid advice as far as medicine choices go (it does not delve into alternative treatments). I also have a combination of a steroidal spray (only used when an attack happens) and daily Sudafed and Rupanase (the brand names differ in many countries).

But it is no longer just pollen, grasses and house dust causing the big problems. Increasingly we are hearing that air pollution itself is irritating nasal linings and causing nasal allergic reactions, and allergies are persisting through Winter as well now. The problem with allergies that persist like this can often lead to further complications like chest infections.
