Songuo Motors, a South Korean automotive brand, has announced its intention to distribute its upcoming NeuWai range of electric vehicles in South Africa.
The NeuWai range will include two-seater and four-seater ultra-compact vehicles, a modular vehicle, an SUV, a one-ton truck, motorcycles, and scooters.
Whilst I'm pretty sure this is going to be an extremely attarctive price poing (not announced) I'm a bit concerned that the vehicles are only around 60km range at a top speed of 80 km/h - this is really only for city commuting in heavy traffic. The SUV range looks rather more interesting with a top speed of 120 km/h with a range of 150 km. But you get what you pay for so range and speed will no doubt be prioced accordingly.
