Google has revealed Stadia’s internet speed requirements - But no latency requirements?

Google’s Stadia cloud-powered streaming gaming service looks to be a technological marvel. However, in order to deliver its full potential gamers will need a robust internet connection.

Speaking to Kotaku, Stadia boss Phil Harrison revealed that for games to be fully functional in 4K at 60 fps, a minimum connection speed of 30 Mbps is recommended. To enjoy buffer and lag-free 1080p games at 60 fps, a connection speed of 25 Mbp is considered optimal. That said, Google’s servers can deliver this performance with lower bandwidth, but will also adjust resolution as necessary in order to maintain a connection.

Which is all fine but is latency not important also for not having a laggy game? I have 100 Mbps fibre link but my international latency is around 300 ms so I'm wondering if this will be good enough. I suppose we'll find out soon enough. Good thing though was Google did talk about having a good 7,000+ servers around the world in later phases so maybe all will be good.
