Yes I did post about this not too long ago but I can't stress enough the importance of also backing up system files and configuration. Most people back up their /home directory data but sometimes an upgrade breaks an important config file outside of the /home directory.
Invest a few minutes in setting this up and then forget about it- you'll thank yourself later.
