Internet Archives now has many Commodore 64 games and music that plays online in your browser
The Commodore 64, also known as the C64 or the CBM 64, is an 8-bit home computer introduced in January 1982 by Commodore International (first shown at the Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, January 7–10, 1982). It has been listed in the Guinness World Records as the highest-selling single computer model of all time, with independent estimates placing the number sold between 10 and 17 million units.
In 2011, 17 years after it was taken off the market, research showed that brand recognition for the model was still at 87%.
I got one of these back then (around 1984), just after I had a Sinclair ZX81. This was my first computer with colour graphics and that had moved beyond plain beeps. I got some of these games to play with SPACE key as Enter, 0 on numeric keypad for left mouse click, and using the number pad keys for direction. I found Castle Wolfenstein, Ghost 'n Goblins, Donkey Kong, River Raid, The Bards Tale, Sim City, Lord of the Rings, Space Invaders, Gunship (one of my all time favourites), and many more.
