One Angel Investor is putting his money where his mouth is - Offer is $100,000 per team to develop an alternative to Facebook
Do you think you can build a better Facebook? Jason (a known angel investor) is funding seven teams for $100,000 each to do that as part of their OpenBook Challenge at https://www.openbookchallenge.com.
The big challenge will still be getting people to move. But nice to see the debate picking up hotly on Mastodon and Twitter. Advertisers are really not going to like this as Mastodon was also a threat to them... they lose their ability to pay to push messages into people's streams, and the sites don't need their money to operate either.
