There are many myths and stories perpetuated by the media about low-carb ketogenic eating. We each have to take responsibility for our own bodies and it is up to each of us to decide whether we're going to research it ourselves and discuss it with a GP or some other source we have found. At the end of the day, the sources that you choose will likely influence your decision.

Whether we like it or not, what we decide to eat does "shape" us, and we are affected to a lesser or greater extent depending on our own genes. In my own case, low-carb made a noticeable difference in terms of weight loss which I have kept off now for over 4 years.

But it's really not about trying to convince others of anything, merely providing another option to be considered. In fact going by general medical consensus the Mediterranean diet is probably held to be the healthiest overall.
