BetterBatteryStats - Detailed analytics to see what is draining your Android phone's battery
A high battery drain is often a limiting factor for a great user experience.
With BetterBatteryStats you can analyse the behaviour of your phone, find applications causing the phone to drain the battery while it is supposed to be asleep and measure the effect of corrective actions:
- Spot drainers based on detailed information about the root cause
- measure the effect of actions to reduce drain, following a simple method
- detect changes in the awake/sleep profile and quickly find the causes (rogue apps)
In other words BetterBatteryStats helps you gettings the best experience with your smartphone. BetterBatteryStats is calling the "batteryinfo" service of Android to retrieve data already lying there without generating overhead. So it should not drain your phone's battery like some other battery stat apps do.
There is a lot of more detailed info on the XDA Developers site at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 which explains how to interpret some of the stats. You can also download the app for free from that site, but if you're seeing the message "No Info Collected Yet" you may need to get the Beta version of the app.
Note too that "normally" this app requires root access to get the detail sit needs, but if your phone is not rooted, you could try the workaround at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuHJiSB99As for non-rooted phones. I have not tried this as my phone is already rooted.
