Google's Project BikeAround: Virtual 3D Streetview Intended for Dementia Patients

Imagine doing stationary cycling whilst watching a seamless morphing/merging Google Streetview passing by where you can look around as you pass the scenery.... I remember posting in Aug 2016 about a guy that had built something like this himself using an application that he had developed (http://ift.tt/2lQ29zW - this video gives a good idea of what it should work like for the rest of us). I could not find any freely usable version of this anywhere apart from seeing one stretch of road in the USA where it seemed to be used a gym.

But currently, Google themselves have done a similar thing and are testing its effect with dementia patients. Hopefully this spins off for everyone to use, whether for stationary cycling, sitting in a hospital bed, or even doing VR driving. I love the more natural morphing effect - way better than clicking and jumping static images in Streetview.
