Is Terrarium TV for Android safe and legal to use? What are the alternatives?
This streaming TV and movies app has become very popular due to its great interface and exceptionally good performance (unlike many other streaming TV apps that stutter and pause). The short of it though is:
1. Safety - it is not published on the app store so that makes it a bit grey, but on the positive side no malware has actually been found in the app itself - http://ift.tt/2Con0Uy. Make sure you download the app from the official website.
2. Legality - it falls into the Hollywood geofencing / use of VPN and restreaming area. While Terrarium TV does scrape from some online sources that offer content legally, the majority of its content breaks copyright laws.
From a pure legality perspective though we are probably better off using Kodi with plug-ins that are supporting free to air programming.
