How to Organize Your Entire Life with Trello Trello is an awesome project management tool that makes collaboration easy and, dare I say, even fun. But this visual list tool can do so much more, whether you’re organizing work projects, family chores, travel plans, or just about anything else. A Trello board is basically a web page containing lists laid out horizontally on the page so you can get a bird’s eye view of your project. Items within the lists, called cards, can be dragged and dropped onto other lists or reordered within lists. Individual cards themselves can contain checklists, images, attachments, deadline dates, colored labels, and discussion notes from others who share the board. I've used todo list managers like Wunderlist (very powerful tool but not very graphical and able to drag and drop between lists) and I do use Evernote for complete syncing of my notes I take across all devices. But where Trello comes in, is with real ease of use. It reminds me more of Post-it notes with photos on that you can re-organise and move around easily. You can have as many boards as you want with as many lists and team members as you want. If you want to re-orgainise your lists, just rename or create new ones, and drag the cards to new lists. So this keeps it really flexible. Although there is a free option the main limitation is having only a single Power-Up (extensions with extra features) the next levels up are pretty expensive. I discovered there is also a Gold membership that gives you three Power-Ups per board, and also custom backgrounds. The Gold membership suits me just perfectly. You can access it via https://trello.com/gold (you won't find this option on their pricing page). Tip if you use labels: Create one list showing a label with a card title for each card in that list. It acts as a legend to show everyone what the colours of the labels mean. Lifehacker has a good article at http… http://bit.ly/2nyKQWF
