The Right Way to Get a Great Shave Some good solid advice that most of our fathers never passed on to the generation of shavers brought up in the 1970's on canned Gillette products. The same good advice (from prior to 1970) still holds very true today. I just wish my dad had revealed the hidden secrets of shaving to me when I started shaving (but then again I "knew everything" so maybe he did not bother). I recently discovered my dads old Gillette adjustable safety razor circa early 1960's (looks like this one at http://ift.tt/2iHVoNX) and I cleaned it up and it works just fine, with the same DE razor blades that you buy today.
