LessPass - free open source password manager with no sync required or saving in a cloud Fact is you need to access your 1,000+ website unique passwords from different devices but you are concerned about storing your password in someone else's cloud (which is needed if you want to sync them across devices). LessPass follows a different approach.... it is merely a securely accessed website where you type in the website address, login ID you use, and your own master password. Essentially with that information (and only you know the master password) it constructs a unique password that you would use for that website to log in. So it is a calculated password based on what is publicly known, and combined with something only you know. For changing of passwords they have provided a counter option which you can increment to give a new unique password. As long as you can access the LessPass site using your mobile phone browser or a browser extension for Firefox or Chrome, you will be able to use your unique website password. Only thing I'm not sure about is how do I remember out of my 1,000+ websites, which one is on counter 1, 2, 3 etc of its changed passwords? And obviously there is no quick auto fill option. But if you want real security, the point is there is going to be some convenience sacrificed. The security lies in its simplicity. See https://lesspass.com/
