Android Auto v2.0 will work with most phones - Compatible car no longer required So the app will now load on most phones, and optionally connect to a compatible car (a compatible car will mirror the phone display onto the car's dash console). From the App store, it will only download for certain countries, but the link below will allow you to download and then sideloaded the APK. It installed fine this way on my Nexus 6P and I'm looking forward to testing it out tomorrow. I generally use navigation and Player FM podcasts so this app will greatly enhance the ease of the odd button presses I must make. Whilst it does offer a selection of music / podcast players to choose from, it seems only Google Maps is offered for navigation (I would love to have seen being able to switch between Waze and Google Maps for example).
