Toyota Prius Returns to Plug-In Market With $3,000 Price Cut

Toyota Prius Returns to Plug-In Market With $3,000 Price Cut Prices for Toyota’s new plug-in, dubbed Prius Prime, will start at $27,100. That’s $3,000 less than the version the company discontinued in June 2015. When it goes on sale later this year, the new Prius Prime will be able to travel 25 miles (40 kilometers) between each recharging in all-electric mode, which many environmentalists consider cleaner than the gasoline engine also installed in the car. I often only travel 19km to work and back, so this would just suite me perfectly. Being a hybrid, you still have a full petrol engine for those long distances too. Just a real pity that Toyota does not bring the plug-in model to South Africa at all. In our country with its congested cities and long distances between country towns, this car would be perfect. The best of both worlds! See http://ift.tt/2dmjEDQ
