Chapeau Is Exactly What the Linux Desktop Needs Chapeau is a cutting-edge Linux distribution, built from Fedora Workstation, using the GNOME desktop environment, and intended to be an incredibly intuitive and easy to use, out-of-the box experience. Part of the Chapeau marketing states that it is “Fedora without the work.” I have not tried this distro out yet, but the writer has given it a very positive review at http://bit.ly/2eHWUQn where much of the praise is also heaped on its all inclusive packaging of video and sound codecs and software out of the box. Yes there is nothing that you can't already install on Linux Mint or other distros, but this one is ready to go straight after the first boot.
