Android 7.1 Developer Preview is now Available for the Nexus 5X/6P and the Pixel C This is what I love about Google Nexus and Pixel phones....the 7.1.1 update arrived today while I was at work so I just had to download the 1.2GB file and do the update. Unfortunately carrier based phones will wait months or a year (or never get) to get the upgrade. One of the new features is being able to long press on an icon, and apps that support it, will pop up a context menu (up to 5 intents) directly from the icon (see photos attached). This compliments the functionality already available from within the notification drop down menu. Right now only some Google apps support it, but developers will soon be adding the functionality to their apps. The Google Pixel camera app (or close to it) is now also in this version so grids appear as well as locking of AE and AF. The minor version number is behind the Pixel version but I can't see much difference between the two. There is also now a "reboot" option on the power button menu - not essential, but a bit irritating not having one. Read more about this update at http://ift.tt/2e7Y87a
