Photos from Day 13 of our European Honeymoon - 24 Oct 2015 Montmartre and Catacombs We walked up to Montmartre and explored the side streets before sitting down to have our honeymoon portrait sketched by an artist there. If you find the restaurants on Montmartre a bit pricey, there is now a Starbucks there just off the square, right opposite the bakery. After Montmartre we traveled with the Metro underground to the Catacombs of Paris. We stood in the queue for over an hour and a half (and the queue was only about 100m to 150m) which in undoubtedly the longest wait I have ever had. Once inside we walked for 100's of meters and the passageways are just walled all the way with decorative designs of skulls and bones. Once out we visited the gift shop which had some uniquely catacombs themed items to buy. There are quite a few video clips included for this day, which will give a good feel of what the places places look like.
