“Crazy Nikon rip-off in South Africa” – Photographer All I can say is "wow!". A lens costing R24,795 in South was imported for a bit over R11,000. I can understand this happening when electronic items require special retooling to fit (and have SABS tested) our unique three-prong power sockets, but Nikon lens is surely a Nikon lens? Or maybe there is some special waterproofing or other tracking device fitted. Bulk imports by a local retailer should be cheaper than once-off retail price imports by individuals. I really cannot wait to hear Nikon South Africa's official response. See http://ift.tt/2bvUX75
