The sad state of Linux download security

The sad state of Linux download security The article covers chiefly two areas of security namely the download of the initial ISO image for installation, and then the security of package manager updates. What was looked at was whether https is available, whether it is forced, whether there is a checksum, etc. Whilst most of the top 10 Linux distros come through fine, Ubuntu and Zorin clearly have some issues when measured against these criteria. Ubuntu is pretty mainstream so I'd hope they close these gaps. Fedora does come out the clear winner here. See http://ift.tt/29ZVBsA
